If you’ve taken my online course you know I talk incessantly about the importance of you getting on stage and killing it, which will lead to referrals and work.
I preach differently than most, in that I encourage you to do things for free when you are starting out as well as when you are a success, and spread the love, whereas others are very much against this.
I have NEVER had success in the COLD CALLING realm, and have referred to other programs I recommend in the past on this blog and dedicated posts such as THIS ONE.
One of the most important things about making a living from the stage is the ‘making a living’ part, and that means SELLING.
As someone who’s been in this business a while, I can attest to the rollercoaster that comes with depending on the phone to ring for us to get paid.
I’ve shared with some of you the results I’ve gotten from picking up the phone and leveraging systems, and the difference it’s made in my business.
Recently, I visited with Shawn Rhodes, and he’s running a speaking business like a business – a rare thing in our industry.
He’s created a system complete with programs, campaigns and scripts that have generated 250k for his business this year – without a single referral.
He’s pulling together a small group of speakers in January in St. Petersburg beach to share the systems, campaigns and templates he’s built and I vouch that this will be time well spent for any of you.
I’m not being paid to let you know about this, I just have so many of you asking how to get gigs, as I’ve suggested so many routes this is one I rarely touch on because I’m not good at it, but he has a proven system, and apparently only a few spots left for those wanting to learn. I wish I could go.
