In 2000 I decided I would become a world-famous Entertainer.
By 2004 I had an offer to make that dream happen, but with a price I wasn’t willing to pay.
In that moment I had to reinvent myself and quickly became one of the most sought after Corporate Entertainers and Emcee’s in the world.
In 2012 I was pretty tired of that show and it hurt me to perform. My time doing the show was limited.
Reinvention came again in 2013. This time it was quite ugly.
From Entertainer to Speaker I attempted to shift, and yet very few were buying it. Some schools were willing to have me speak for FREE! (Story HERE)
By mid-2016 it finally started to take, with actual paying clients.
Today, mid-2017, I am now receiving significantly more offers from major corporations, associations, and conventions to SPEAK as a Closing Keynote Speaker than I am receiving to come and be After Dinner Entertainment.
My fee has doubled.
The shift has finally happened.
How did I reinvent myself and the public’s perception of me?
First of all, I didn’t do it alone, I needed ADVOCATES. That’s Number 1. You must have people that believe what you’re doing and tell everyone about it.
Secondly, I went ALL IN with a web site rebrand in creating “The Promise”, a message that was eternally true and applied to corporate buyer’s needs (my audience).
Third, for my AUDIENCE I WRITE, PRACTICE, MAKE VIDEOS, and pretty much ONLY TALK ABOUT WHAT I WANT THE WORLD TO SEE ME AS. (Promise Web Site)
I am now a Speaker.
I will always be The Entertainer, and proud of it. That’s a main reason they still bring me in to speak, because it’s entertaining.
But I am now officially recognized by my AUDIENCE as The Keynote Speaker.
