The Calm Before The Storm – I love the quiet moments before the room fills up
Hey!
If you’ve been keeping up on the many amazing and mind-blowing blog posts coming your way from this web site here’s one you may not be expecting.
STOP. Seriously. You need to STOP.
Take a break. Get up out of your chair and go for a walk.
Set your phone down, back away from the computer screen. Everything will be alright.
But you – you are not alright.
If you’re like most people trying to make it as a Speaker or Entertainer you are probably killing yourself to death on accident without even realizing it.
Feeling overworked or overwhelmed? It’s very typical for us driven folk.
As you walk think of these questions and answer them candidly:
How am I sleeping?
How good was my work out today?
Did I give myself a chance to wake up, meditate, find gratitude, and center before jumping into emails and work projects?
Am I happy with what I am doing?
Am I working toward something I really want to do, or am I allowing others to dictate my day?
Did I smother my partner and little ones with kisses today? Or did they just get up and rush out the door?
My friend, you have come a long way. I honor and congratulate you on your success.
But none of that matters, if you don’t take care of you.
Here’s a little video I filmed while taking care of me this past Easter weekend. Love it!
