I write these blogs a few days before posting them. Today is a Wednesday and I am flying between a barely made connection (from SLC, UT to Minneapolis, MN) to a small regional airport in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Yes, this client is flying me more than halfway across this fine country of ours to perform a whopping 12 MINUTES.
Full fee.
No questions asked.
This is a company that, if you know your Arkansas history, is obviously the only one in that section of the state who could afford to do this, and has produced some of the wealthiest people on the planet for a few decades.
You’ve shopped in their stores. I’ve slept in their parking lots.
Point is this: At what moment do you become so in-demand to a client that they would pay you incredible money and fly you thousands of miles out of the way just to have you come in and do 12 minutes?
I’m not famous.
I’m not some guru of anything.
But the event planner saw me at an event last year in Orlando when she worked for another company. And she didn’t forget about me. When she thought, “Who could be clean, funny, and high energy for 12 minutes in between our executives speaking?”, her first thought was me!
I’m not bragging. I’m saying all of this with an air of amazement, even wonder, and wanted to share with you the power of what you can create, what you can become, what you can put your head down and work toward if you believe strongly enough in this as your career.
After my 12 minutes are over in Arkansas, I will race to the airport and fly the opposite direction once again, this time to San Diego, CA, where I will speak the next morning to thousands of CPA’s, a division of the auditing department of defense.
Full fee.
This client saw me speak for FREE to another military branch as part of my giveback to our Armed Forces. He said he would not allow my donation, as they would pay someone else if I wouldn’t accept their money.
The Arkansas client saw me perform for FREE for a charity group in Orlando.
Both of these opportunities are manna from heaven, a gift from God, and because I donated my time to give the message to anyone that will listen.
Be Seen & Heard = Get Paid From Then On.
Speak, perform, coach, train – even for FREE – until they come back wanting more and will pay you crazy money for it.

Well done! I am excited for you! 12 minutes! Seems harder than the full 90 since no time for dead air. How did it go???
yeah man, exactly right. It was weird. My music wasn’t working when I began, so I had to kind of wing it, and then eventually they realized they had the sound turned off – so yes, it was bizarre. But by the end of 12 minutes they gave me a screaming standing ovation, client was thrilled, money in the bank 🙂
