Well my friend, I am giving away all of my secrets now.
Actually, I didn’t come up with this idea, I first heard about it from my Uncle Ernie who did photos and framed pics of his clients attending Utah Jazz games when I was young. And then Chad Hymas, Hall of Fame Speaker, did the same thing for his speaking clients.
I’ve been doing this for years so here’s the process:
- Take a photo with the client after the event when they’re really happy with what you just did on stage
- Print the photo
- Place it in a nice frame
- Write a handwritten letter with memories of the event, as well as positioning to have you back or refer a friend
- Sign the frame with a silver pen (in the “Create Your Celebrity” segment of my training)
- Mail it to their shock and surprise
You’d be amazed how often I’ve visited the offices of those I’ve done events for. Often I am one of 3 photos on their desk.
Entertainers and Speakers have asked me for years why I get so much return business. Well, I’m good on stage, but not THAT good. This seems to be a good way to keep front of mind for my clients.
